Fresher and campus interview: the questions interviewers ask
Campus and fresher interviews look at your basics, your projects, your attitude to learning and how well you speak, since you have little work history yet.
Every interview asks different questions. Use the examples below to see the kind of question to expect, then learn the idea behind each one instead of memorising answers.
Questions interviewers commonly ask
- Introduce yourself and tell me about your best project.
- Why should we hire you with little experience?
- Tell me about a time you worked in a team.
- What did you learn recently on your own?
- Where do you see yourself in three years?

- Know every project on your resume well enough to explain it simply and say what you personally did.
- Be honest about what you do not know and show how you would learn it.
- Practise explaining your subject in plain words, as if to a friend.
- Prepare a clear reason for choosing this company.
What to expect in the round
- Self-introduction
- Questions on your projects and subjects
- HR and attitude questions
- Sometimes a group discussion or aptitude round before the interview
What to learn and practise
- Answer out loud, not only in your head. Speaking is a skill that improves only by speaking.
- Use a simple shape: the point first, then a short example, then what happened or what you learned.
- Record yourself, listen back, and fix one thing at a time (pace, filler words, structure).
- Practise with a timer so your answers fit the time you will really have.
Common questions
What if I am nervous?
Nerves are normal. Practising out loud several times lowers them more than any trick.
Should I memorise answers?
Memorise your key points and examples, not whole sentences. Memorised scripts sound stiff.
